[The IPC9, Tokyo finished]

The 9th International Phycological Congress, Tokyo was successfully finished on 8th August 2009. The congress attracted more than 500 participants from 44 countries world wide. The local organizing committee would like to express their sincere thanks to the members of the International Organizing Committee, International Phycological Society, participants from all over the world and local staffs for their contributions to the congress in various ways. The next IPC will be held in Orland, Florida, U.S.A in 2013. See you again in Orland.

  The IPC9 Local Organizing Committee cordially invites you to the 9th International Phycological Congress which will be held in Tokyo, Japan between 2nd and 8th August 2009.

Tokyo is the capital of Japan with a population of over 12 million people, and all visitors will experience good mixture of high-tech and historical sides of Japan in this active city. The congress venue, 'National Olympics Memorial Youth Center,' located at Yoyogi, Tokyo, is easily accessible from the Narita International Airport, and provides economic and reasonable accommodations within the site. Other hotels of diverse categories are also available near the venue.
